National Database & Registration Authority job advertisement for the position of Assistant Director (Database Security) at its headquarters in Islamabad.

Position Details

Position: Assistant Director (Database Security)
Location: Islamabad
Maximum Age: 37 years (includes 5 years general age relaxation)

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Cyber Security
    • Information Security
    • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
    • Or a related field with relevant Information Security certifications
  • Degree must be from an HEC-recognized university and HEC attested.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in:
    • Information Security
    • Information Technology
    • Database Administration
    • Network Device Administration
  • Preferred certifications:
    • IBM Security Product certifications
    • CySA+
    • Data+
    • Equivalent information security certifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM Guardium appliances.
  • Database activity monitoring and protection.
  • Log collection and analysis.
  • Security incident monitoring and database auditing.
  • Risk assessment and data analytics.
  • Database backup, disaster recovery, and data protection.
  • Implementing cybersecurity controls for on-premises and cloud databases.
  • Automation and scripting tasks.
  • Technical documentation and communication.

Terms & Conditions

  • Initial probation period of 6 months.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for tests/interviews.
  • Government employees must submit NOC.
  • No TA/DA will be paid.
  • Medical fitness and character certificates are required upon selection.
  • Female, minority, transgender, and differently-abled candidates are encouraged to apply.
