CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER

Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation is a utility Corporation under the KW&SC ACT 2023. The Corporation is responsible for providing water supply and sewerage services in Karachi and is committed to supporting the economic growth of the region through optimum resource utilization and by providing a rewarding workplace for its employees. The Corporation invites applications from energetic and experienced candidates for the following position.

Required Experience & Qualification:
Qualification:

  • Graduation in second division from any recognized University.
  • Degree or any certified courses related to the security policy, planning and execution.

Experience:

  • The candidate must be a commissioned serving or retired officer equivalent to BS-19/20 of the Pakistan Police/Para-Military/Armed Forces with robust health in Medical Category "A".
  • Proven track record of command for the period of three years.
  • Staff duties at senior level for the period three years will be added advantage.
  • Intelligence gathering, analysis and action taken for prevention will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in security, planning and execution.

Upper Age Limit: 55 Years

This is contractual position for the period of 3 years, extendable on satisfactory performance.

REPORTING CHANNEL

  • Report to the CEO KW&SC

Job Profile:

  • Must be able to prepare a Security Policy for the protection of the KWSC operations and properties, moveable and immoveable assets.
  • Ensure the security of all KW&SC properties, assets, and installations.
  • Ensure and impart relevant training/skills to the security staff under command.
  • Direct, monitor, and control all activities related to security matters in KW&SC to ensure that laid down procedures are followed to protect the organization’s properties, assets & installations.
  • Assess security risks faced by KW&SC and facilitate and monitor the implementation of effective security risk management practices.
  • Ensure execution and implementation of policies on security matters through designated officers at all sites.
  • Keep the CEO-KW&SC abreast of security issues within KW&SC and identify weak areas in security.
  • Act as advisor/coordinator for the relevant administrative Department on all security-related matters of KW&SC.
  • Maintain liaison and represent at meetings held with key intelligence divisions/agencies of the Federal/Provincial Government with respect to the security of installations/formations of KW&SC.
  • Ensure that Government of Sindh/Government of Pakistan directives regarding the security of foreigners are implemented as required.
  • Coordinate with designated police stations (Thanas) established under the KW&SC Act to address law enforcement and security concerns specific to KW&SC operations.
  • Provide security oversight for the KW&SC Tribunal, including ensuring the safety and security of the Tribunal Judge, staff, and related proceedings.
  • Take measures to hand unauthorized tapping of the water network and implement actions to restrict illegal excess to the water supply.
  • Develop and implement security protocols in accordance with the KW&SC Act and related legal frameworks, ensuring compliance and effective functioning of all security-related statutory requirements.
  • Investigate and respond to security breaches or incidents reported through the Tribunal or KW&SC officials, and ensure coordination with law enforcement to resolve such matters effectively and efficiently.
